"Doggone Fitness Walk," organized by the New Port Richey Parks and Recreation Department and the Youth Advisory Board, from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Orange Lake, downtown. The free event, for children 14 and younger and dogs of all ages, is being held to promote healthy lifestyles and includes obstacle courses for kids and dogs, walk-laps, snack, games and prizes. The Kilian-Grey New Port Richey Relay for Life team is presenting the "9 Pin No Tap Bowling Extravaganza," a family-friendly fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, at 2 p.m. at Lane Glo Bowl, 8631 Old C.R. 54, New Port Richey. Medical Center of Trinity, 9330 S.R. 54, will hold an art reception 1-3 p.m. to honor the award recipients of its inaugural Expression of Thanks Youth Art Contest. The Chronic Disease Self-Management Program, a free six-week workshop, will be held from 9 until 10:30 a.m. through Feb. 25 at Medical Center of Trinity, 9330 S.R. 54. The 2013 Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration sponsored by the African American Club of Pasco and the city of New Port Richey begins with a pre-celebration gathering at Community Congregation Church, 6533 Circle Blvd., New Port Richey at 11 a.m. A symbolic march to the nearby West Pasco Historical Society will be held at 11:30 a.m. and includes an honor guard presentation.
