In less than 13 hours, a New Port Richey man, upset with his former girlfriend and her boyfriend, sent her 239 text messages, some of them threatening, according to the Pasco Sheriff's Office.

Steven Michael Horlacher, 48, of 8510 Gumtree Ave., is accused of sending text messages threatening to come to the woman's home, kick in her door, beat her and her current boyfriend and sexually assault her, deputies said.

About 8 a.m. Tuesday, Horlacher sent the first message to his ex-girlfriend, a woman he once lived with. The last one came at 8:48 p.m.

While deputies were at the woman's home, Horlacher called her at 9:17 p.m. and said, according to the arrest report: "Die (expletive) die. I'm coming for you."

Among the text messages, one read: "Ill be over to eliminate him," and another said: "Out of everyone u could be with...you pick the one u knew would snap me…now it's on (expletive)…he's a dead (expletive)."

Deputies said Horlacher then made the two-mile drive to her home from his residence. When he spotted deputies at her home, he drove away and left the car at a house on Remington Drive. He then left on foot, deputies said. He was arrested near the intersection of Bearcat Road and River Crossing Blvd.

Horlacher is charged with aggravated stalking and remains in the Land O' Lakes Jail with a $50,000 bond. His arrest violated terms of a previous driving under the influence conviction, which netted Horlacher a misdemeanor violation of probation charge. Bond for that infraction is $5,000.
