Again, the lies in Rich Lowry's op-ed page column.
First, it was President Barack Obama killed the work requirement under welfare. That did not work, as it was debunked as an outright lie, so he tries to use the word "weakened" the work requirement.
Republicans scream for less government and say we must give more control back to the states. So compromising, Obama grants their request. Then wham, Lowry stabs him in the back again. Every news station, except Fox, and fact-checking organization have called this "a lie."
Well, to Lowry and to Paul Ryan, who said, "We are not going to run our campaign on fact-checking," guess what: We voters are not stupid and do check facts. With you guys, I really have no idea what I am going to get. You change your story or position every time something you say gets debunked or a negative reaction.
Wretchedly, there have been way too many.

Big success
A very successful Inaugural Crews Lake Park Appreciation Day was held on Sept. 8, with the support of so many wonderful people. Special thanks go to Lottie Kelley of Covanta Energy and Crews Lake Park Ranger David Jay for their help organizing the event. County Commission Chairwoman Ann Hildebrand was honored for her dedication to the community, the parks and the Central Pasco and Gulf Railroad.
The generous Platinum Level Sponsors included: Covanta Energy, Tom Dobies Funeral Home, San Francis Veterinary Hospital and the Central Pasco and Gulf Railroad. Thank you to the many additional sponsors, who are worthy of mention but too numerous to list.
To the nearly 1,000 good people who attended despite a little bit of rain, thank you all for coming out and riding the rails. We hope to see you out at the park again in the near future.

The real law
Regarding the Gainesville Sun editorial reprinted on your op-ed page, the left claims any child born on U.S. soil, even if the parents are foreign terrorists, are U.S. citizens, citing English Common Law. They ignore the 14th Amendment, which states the child must be born under the "jurisdiction" of the U.S. to be considered citizens. That is our law.
