Thank you to all who stood in line across Florida to vote. You are indeed civil rights activists.
You marched for me and for America in spite of attempts to suppress the vote. You stood up in spite of attempts to silence the vote.
No matter the political party, it is our right to vote; no matter our personal convictions, it is our duty to allow all to vote; no matter the outcome of the vote.
We are, in the end, all Americans; we are, in the end, in this together; we are, in the end, responsible to one another to work together for America with tolerance and respect.

It's hard to believe that the holiday season is upon us and that we will soon bring another year to a close. As you prepare for the season, I ask that you consider a donation to Boley Centers' Annual Holiday Gift Drive.
Established in 1970, the Boley Centers Inc. is a private, not-for-profit organization serving individuals with mental disabilities, the homeless and youth in Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco and Sarasota counties.
For many years now, we have made it a priority to provide gift cards to stores like Walmart, Target and local supermarkets to each of the men and women we provide services to.
The amounts are small, just $10 to $20, but each gift sends the message that the recipient is thought of and remembered in a special way. It has been through the generosity of our community that we have been able to do this each year. No amount is too small to help make a difference.
