PEDC to roll out red carpet at banquet

LUTZ - Pasco Economic Development Council is getting ready to roll out the red carpet for some 600 guests and 20 nominees for Industry of the Year Awards.

PEDC has been attracting businesses and creating jobs in Pasco County for 26 years, so the annual Appreciation Banquet is its way of saying thanks, Summer Martin explained as the marketing and events coordinator.

The banquet will take place Sept. 5 at Saddlebrook Resort in Wesley Chapel. A trade show at 5:30 p.m. will precede the dinner at 7 p.m.

For awards, PEDC evaluates and nominates top companies here for their technology, innovation, job creation, growth, and capital investment in the area. They also measure companies' involvement in community activities.

An independent panel of judges on a range of topics interviews all finalists.

Nominees for 2012 honors are Absolute Air Systems, Anaseed EMR Consulting Group, Artix Entertainment LLC, Asphalt Paving Systems, Condominium Associates, Copperstone Executive Suites & Business Center, CTG Power Solutions LLC, Hampton Inn & Suites Wesley Chapel and Hampton Inn & Suites Dade City-Zephyrhills.

Also Hyundai of New Port Richey, Medical Center of Trinity, Morgan Auto Group LLC, Pall Aeropower Corp., Pasco Iron & Metal, RAB Foundation Repair LLC, RJ Kielty Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, SCORE Chapter 439, Seaway Plastics Engineering, Sign-A-Rama of New Tampa and SureCrete Design Products, Inc.
