TAMPA - If it felt like January when you walked out the door this morning, you weren't too far off.

Temperatures are 10 degrees below normal in the Tampa Bay area and closer to averages found in January rather than November, News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann said.

The highs today will only reach 70 degrees, Spann said.

"It's going to be a little winter-like today and tonight," Spann said.

Friday morning's low will drop into the upper 40s before warmer temperatures move in during the afternoon.

A high of 75 is forecast for Friday.

The warming trend will continue through the weekend with highs near 80 degrees on Saturday and the lower 80s on Sunday and Monday, Spann said.

"We'll have one more cold night and then it starts to warm up," she said.
