Tampa Bay area residents woke up this morning to temperatures between 10 and 30 degrees colder than Tuesday, said News Channel 8 meteorologist Leigh Spann. But as the sun comes out, temperatures are expected to climb to the upper 70s, which is above the seasonal average, Spann said.
A cold front arrives Thursday night and early Friday morning, bringing a 40 percent chance of rain and much cooler temperatures, Spann said.
The high on Friday, which is the first day of winter, will be in the mid-60s, Spann said.
Low temperatures on Saturday and Sunday will be in the mid-40s with highs in the upper 60s.
